The "Florida Jammers" is an after-school dance program for girls (with the occasional boy) located on the West Coast of Florida. In 2009-2010, nearly 500 students enrolled in Florida Jammers all across Sarasota County. We conduct lessons at Brentwood Elementary, Fruitville Elementary, Taylor Ranch Elementary, Southside Elementary, Pine View School for the Gifted, Garden Elementary, Gulf Gate Elementary,  Lakeview Elementary, Laurel Nokomis School, and Temple Beth Sholom.  We even offer a Middle School Competition Class held at Pine View in which ALL middle school girls in Sarasota County are invited to join.  In Fall 2008, we added ADVANCED JAM to our schedule, a competitive class to offered to elementary school girls who have been with the Florida Jammers for at least three years. This year, we are excited to add Bay Haven School of Basics Plus and Ashton Elementary School to our after-school program. Click here to see our 2009-2010 class schedule. 

     Florida Jammers students learn fun but challenging pom pom routines, funky hip hop dances, and basic jazz skills - all of which include age-appropriate choreography set to popular, upbeat, age-appropriate songs. Currently, we have 2 Directors and 11 talented dance teachers on staff to provide your dancer with a variety of training experiences.  Beginner students are also taught cheerleading fundamentals, while the advanced classes focus more on competitions and other exciting performance opportunities around the state of Florida. At the end of the year, we put on a recital to show off everything we have learned in front of an audience filled with family and friends!  Among other awards, each dancer receives an official Florida Jammers trophy, which increases in size according to how many years the student has been with our program. 

Throughout the school year, we offer additional fun events in which participation is optional.  For example, all students are eligible to join Jolly Jammers, our parade group that performs in both the Sarasota and Venice Holiday parades every year. We also conduct private Birthday parties that are custom designed to fit your party's theme.  During the summer time, we offer our hip hop JAM camp, which is always tons of fun.
